Training your Staff Members

If you're a group practice that is brand NEW to TherapyAppointment, TherapyAppointment offers live online training after you've required your team to go through the introductory training below.

If you are an existing practice who has hired on new team members, we are unable to train your new team members live/online → that is your responsibility. But read on, we have solutions to training!

Here is a recommended procedure for training your team members:

  • Most Groups find that blocking off time on your therapist's schedule and presenting them with the training videos is much more effective than asking them to 'self train' on their own time.
  • It's often helpful for your admin team to understand the clinical side of things!

Step 1: Use our Sandbox, or Test Environment

If you received a personalized tour of TherapyAppointment from one of our sales team members, you likely have access to this sandbox. If you need access, please email sales@therapyappointment.com and ask for access to preconfigured practice accounts.

Then schedule an internal staff meeting with each group described below:

Additionally:

✅ Have your staff members write down any questions that they have after watching the trainings and playing in the practice environment and compile them into one document.

✅ Identify staff members on your clinical team and your admin team who seem to best understand the software and are willing to be the 'go to' persons in your organization when your staff members have questions. 


Step 2: New Practices Schedule Live Training

Led by TherapyAppointment Trainers!

✅ IF you are a NEW PRACTICE Using TherapyAppointment, please proceed as indicated below: 

✅  Based on the questions your team members have developed by engaging in STEP 1, You may now decide that your staff needs more in-depth training - and  since you're a new practice using TherapyAppointment, we're happy to meet with you and your team online and answer those questions. 

✅  We will provide a live training to your clinical team and a separate live training to your Admin/Billing Team. Ensure that your 'go to' persons are able to attend this training live.  You may schedule these two trainings by clicking here.

✅ Invite any/all staff members to attend this training as you deem appropriate. Ask your team members to come prepared with the list of questions that remained after taking the 'on demand' training in Step 1.

✅  These live training events given to your team will be recorded and provided to you to present to any team members who were unable to attend. 

✅  Retain a copy of the recorded training in order to present to any future staff members who may join your practice in the future.

TherapyAppointment is not responsible for training members you've added to your team after your new customer training is complete, but we are happy to provide resources and knowledge base articles about your topics of question.
